Returns Policy

This CNGPS/MGIC Returns Policy aims to reassure that you can buy with confidence and what to do in case you are dissatisfied with a purchase.

All refund rights under both State and Commonwealth law apply.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure. If the failure is minor, we reserve our right to offer to repair only. We reserve the right to not offer a refund or an exchange coupon.

Please read the following carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights under the policy and our obligations to you.

When you change your mind

  • At CNGPS/MGIC you have 60 days to return your items (some exclusions apply) for a full refund or exchange as long as it is returned in a saleable condition with original proof of purchase.

  • 'Saleable Condition' means the item hasn’t been opened or used, is still in its original packaging and all manuals, packaging and accessories are included.

  • If you can’t provide proof of purchase, we will be unable to provide an exchange coupon or refund.

What could fall under change of mind?

Many things, but put simply, the customer no longer wants the product at no fault of the product itself, CNGPS/MGIC and/or manufacturer. This could be because you didn’t try it on and do not like how it fits, it is the wrong size, you no longer like the colour, it was an unwanted gift, you found it cheaper somewhere else, you ordered the wrong item, it has since gone on sale, you simply do not need/want it, etc.

Excluded change of mind items

The following items can not be returned if you change your mind:

  • Food items

  • Deposits for products or services

  • Gift cards/vouchers

Other products:

CNGPS/MGIC will accept returns and provide you with a exchange coupon or refund (provided in the same form as your original payment method) or repair where:

  • The item is faulty or is not of acceptable quality, or

  • The item is not fit for its intended purpose, or

  • The product does not match the sample or our description; and

  • You can present proof of purchase through CNGPS/MGIC.

CNGPS/MGIC may elect to return the product to the manufacturer’s repair agent to determine the nature of the problem. We reserve the right not to offer an exchange voucher, refund or repair where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect.

Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair goods.

When you pay a deposit on an item or service for an agreed amount, you enter a binding agreement to proceed with the transaction.

When you CAN cancel an item or service

If you have a major problem with an item or service, or minor problem that can't be fixed within a reasonable time, you have the right to cancel the agreement when it is:

  • not provided with an unacceptable level of care and skill;

  • unfit for the purpose you asked for; or

  • not delivered within a reasonable time when there is no agreed end date.

When you CAN'T cancel an item or service

As the deposit amount is proportionate compensation to CNGPS/MGIC for the transaction time and expenses, any depreciation in value and withdrawal from sale to other customers, deposits cannot be returned if you:

  • change your mind;

  • insist on having an item or service built or provided in a particular, way against our advice;

  • failed to clearly explain your needs.

Deposits will also not be exchanged for another denomination or tender such as cash. CNGPS/MGIC is entitled to keep all or part of the deposit. As a gesture of goodwill, an exchange coupon may be issued, but this is at the discretion of CNGPS/MGIC and is not guaranteed.

Physical gift card orders

Gift cards/vouchers cannot be returned if you change your mind. They also will not be exchanged for another denomination or tender such as cash. Please note that CNGPS/MGIC is not responsible for and is unable to replace gift cards which are lost or stolen.
